Hiking


The Gosau Valley is a paradise for all generations of hikers and climbers. Walking, hiking or mountaineering in our region is an inspiring adventure. You can either go for a leisurely walk or an extended hiking tour or climb up the mountains – everyone to his taste. A well-deserved rest in one of the numerous mountain huts where you can enjoy fresh local delicacies, should not be missing.

Directly from the hotel, well-maintained hiking trails lead to alpine inns, to mountain tops with breathtaking views and of course the famous “Gosausee” (lake Gosau) at the foot of the Dachstein.

Already 60 years ago, the grandfather of the present proprietor accompanied his guests on guided tours - a pioneering feat in those years. Of course, we have retained this tradition.

From springtime to autumn, we offer our guests a daily program of guided hikes for the whole family with Bettina -  our certified hiking guide – or with the head of the house.

This offer is included in all our daily rates and packages. We are taking into account the participants needs and the weather conditions and thus our guests confirm again and again that the walking tours arranged by us are a very special experience.

Hiking rucksack, walking sticks and pocket for drinking bottle can be borrowed for free from us and this equipment we offer for sale: Hiking rucksack (€ 56, -), walking sticks (€ 39), -, pocket for drinking bottle (€ 9.50), drinking bottle (€ 18, -) and hiking card (€ 5, -).

The "Little Huzul Ranch” offers the best conditions for hours in the saddle.
